Becoming a Trading Assistant on eBay

My Father in law has cottoned on to the fact that I am beginning to shift a few items on eBay . Being the Yorkshire man that he is ( they are renowned for their thriftiness) he has asked me to sell on some of his accumulated treasures ....and he has lots of them ...he did ask me to sell my mother in law but I told him that it was against eBay policy :-)

Anyway , by default I have become my in-laws personal trading assistant and a good 50% of my listings are from their houshold.

Because of this I did a little research on what it takes to become an official eBay trading assistant . I tracked down this article written by Greg Holden entitled " eBay for Friends and Family: Becoming a Trading Assistant " .... give it a click ...it contains some useful pointers ..

Hi Rob,

I found this so useful I printed it. When we were travelling last year around Sept., we visited an antique shop in Erie, Pa. The family has owned the business for years and years. The lady we talked to was very nice and shared some strategy with me. Even though she has a brick and mortar, she said she is doing more business selling on eBay on consignment. She said many of the same things stated in this article.

Thanks for sharing this.

Oh, I've been thinking about Buttons...is this his first airplane trip? I hope he's not scared, and I hope all the airline personnel are treating him kindly. :-)

Rob, I've always been curious about something...why is that one has to key in the letters displayed on the screen before posting? I could never figure this out.
