Trading on eBay is no different ...the tools maketh the man ( or woman ..depending on your genre)
Last night I started exploring another tool ...its called Auction Sieve ...a free downloadable software package that aims to take some of the time consuming frustrations out of bargain hunting on eBay . If like me, you are serching ebay on the hunt for bargains to sell on at a profit then you need some software tools to help
So far , having only had an hour with this particular package it looks quite promising ...take a look at it yourself ..takes about 2 mins on broadband to download and has a helpful tutorial to guide you through the basics .
The writer of the software claims this about the package... "The best way to find bargains on eBay!"
Let me know what you think ...or even better if you have been using this tool for a while , share your thought below...good or bad

As usual, you come up with the neatest stuff...don't know how you do it, but thank you very much.
I downloaded Auction Sieve, tried it out, and it looks promising. My preliminary thoughts are that it does a really good job of worming thru the auctions & picking out the key words, but lacks a bit in user-friendliness, i.,e I couldn't see any other way to initiate a new search except to close the program, and re-open. If you know a better way, I'd appreciate you letting me know - and, I'll probably look at it some more, and maybe figure it out.
Also, it opens each auction view in a new web browser window...at first blush, there doesn't seem to be any way around this, and I'm wondering if it's possible for the developers to force an exit on the view when the next view opens. This would prevent opening several instances of your browser (in my case, IE). Since I'm running XP, on a machine with 2 processors, it's not having much of an impact, but for those who may not have a configuration like this, it might cause a system problem, such as freezing, or even a crash.

Thanks Linda ...your feedback is excellent . I think you can open a new search by going to the file menu and clicking new sieve without having to close the program
I am still finding my way around the software myself ...I'll let you know if I find any clitches

Linda, you can set up IE to reuse the current browser when opening a link. Go to Tools->Internet Options...->Advanced and tick "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts".
Firefox users can set it up so that each auction is opened in a new tab.
